The salon is between clients. The leaflet still needs your brand.

The last client has left and the next one will soon be here. Somewhere in between, you need to make a leaflet for a new treatment. You know what to say; finding the time to make it look and sound like your salon is harder.

The design job hides in the gaps

A price change, new treatment or seasonal offer needs something customers can use. That might be a clear quote, a leaflet or a social card. In a small salon, each one has to fit around appointments, messages and the work in the chair.

That is familiar across the trade. The National Hair & Beauty Federation says around 81% of registered UK hair, beauty and barbering businesses employ fewer than five people. There may be no marketing person to take on the design.

So the leaflet is put together late, copied from an old file or left for another day. A generic template saves time, but can miss the tone and details that make a salon recognisable.

A design is useful when it feels like it came from your salon, and the details are right. The WorkMate team

Keep the brand in the room

WorkMate OS has a design mate that can prepare quotes, leaflets and social cards. It can work from the salon’s stored brand kit, including its voice, tone and banned words. You do not have to explain the basics again for each task.

The design mate starts with the salon’s stored brand details.

The crew shares one Brain, so a correction to a treatment name, price detail or phrase can carry across sessions. The next draft starts with that context. You do not have to begin with a blank page each time.

The handover is straightforward: ask for a design, review the draft, correct anything that is off, then approve it before it goes out. WorkMate OS follows draft, review, send for outward-facing work. You approve the result customers see.

Useful help, with your say at the end

A design can include a price, a treatment description or a promise about results. Even a polished card can get one of those details wrong. Reviewing it gives you a chance to check the facts and make sure the wording sounds like you.

The crew records its activity, including what ran, when and what it produced. You can check whether the design task was handled and look at the output.

The design mate and shared brand context are already part of the WorkMate OS crew. A leaflet, quote or social card can start with what the crew has learned about your salon. You still make the final call.
